This is a lattice braided long fiber white asbestos yarn that has been thoroughly impregnated with PTFE and constructed with KEVLAR corners for superior performance. The interlock braid construction with aramid fibers interweaved on the corners and PTFE impregnated asbestos yarn in the body improved its resistance in higher pressure applications.

API 5863K is suitable for gasoline, cold and hot oils, steam air and inert gases and most media including slurry applications. It is ideal for paper mills, food processing industry, cement, mining and all kinds of dynamic service including rotary, reciprocating and helical motion applications.
